Product Development Manager (Product Partnership and Project Management)

Reporting to the team head of Cash Product Development, the position will be part of the GWB Product Development team as the primary point of contact for UOB Group Wholesale digital initiatives. Responsible for end-to-end oversight of all digital partnerships across all Group Wholesale (from opportunity identification, onboarding, performance management to exit process).
In addition, the Product Development manager is responsible for project managing all new cash products development across Group Wholesale.
Key responsibilities include:
  • In close collaboration with key business partners, develop strategic digital roadmap in concert with corporate customer needs and wholesale banking strategy.
  • Proactively stay abreast of market digital trends and leverage internal data that yield rich insights into customers’ needs. Research for new and innovative products, product enhancements and product redesign.
  • Provide leadership and support during strategy formulation, ideation, and execution to build a strong and trusting relationship with corporate customers and digital partners.
  • Conduct research into digital partner offerings for target capabilities. Codify and apply screening criteria for prospective partnerships. Communicate priorities and make recommendations for critical decisions to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage and negotiate contract terms & conditions and service level with the selected digital partners. Manage contract approval process and execute onboarding process. Monitor partnership performance and manage partner improvement and exit process.
  • Develop business requirements (BRD) as the basis for Technology to develop the intended product solutions. Work with Technology to review functional specification (FSD) and ensure they are aligned to BRD for execution. Formulation of test scenarios & scripts. Perform User Acceptance Test (UAT), troubleshoot, analyse and resolve product development issues.
  • Develop project plans and manage delivery timelines; Identify, track and manage all risks and issues; Collaborate with key business partners to understand the problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution; Proactively Identify and remediate risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary; Ensure status reports are submitted regularly and visible to all key stakeholders including the senior management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 10 years of working experience across banking, finance and technology with proven track record in developing and implementing successful innovative products and digital strategies, including 2+ years of project management experience required.
  • Must possess with very strong cross-platform digital and technical knowledge and up-to-date with the latest market development.
  • A proven track record of leading complex projects to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
